Ladies,
Are you living as a Wife On Purpose?
I hope so because living according to your own understanding and logic can have serious consequences for your marriage. For me the message is clear:
A Wife Off Purpose= A Marriage At Risk
What do I mean when I say, Off Purpose?
My definition of Wives Off Purpose are Christian wives who live without reading God's word and make no attempt to learn God's plan for their marriage. The marriage is operating off purpose. When this happens, the marriage's boundaries are down and the door is wide open for sin to enter and something to go wrong between you and your husband. Off purpose wives increase the possibility of losing some "love" investments in their relationship. (More in Wife School, Using God's Word to Build a Stronger Marriage)
Most wives are not off purpose because they want to be. Perhaps selfish or sinful behavior has invited negative consequences and you did not even realize it.
Because marriage has two flawed people in it. Left to their own devices both wives and husbands will mess
up the marriage. Not one of them is righteous. Romans 3:10 reads " As it is written:“There is none righteous, no, not one; NKJV
Do you freely
admit that you are a flawed wife? Most of us don’t. We live as if our husbands
are the only sinners in the relationship. This attitude is common among wives who are off purpose. But it does not have to be you!
